Consent to Processing of Health Data
Version: draft 3, rev. 2026-10-26 · Effective date: {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}
BatchDog can use information about your health and body to filter your menus against the foods you need to avoid and to track your progress. The law treats this as sensitive ("special category") data, so it leaves your device only if you agree here. This consent is separate from the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, and saying no does not stop you from using BatchDog: without it, the data stays on your device.
What this consent covers
The consent has four separate parts. You can agree to any of them, to none, and withdraw each one on its own.
- Health answers: allergies and intolerances, pregnancy or breastfeeding, diagnoses (for example diabetes, kidney disease, gout, high blood pressure, IBS, an eating disorder) and medications that interact with food.
- Body data and food diary: weight, height, age, sex, activity level, body measurements, target weight and your weight log; what and when you ate, the nutrition figures calculated from it, and your Batchy (the dog character), which reacts to how you eat.
- Food restrictions for family and AI: only what you must not eat — the allergens and restrictions that follow from your answers (for example "no peanuts", "no fermented food"). No diagnoses, medications, weight or free text. You can give this part without the consent to store health answers.
- Showing health answers to your family: whether members of your BatchDog family see your health answers. You can give this only together with the consent to health answers.
Why we use it
- to calculate your calorie and macro targets;
- to leave out foods you tell us to avoid and to flag possible conflicts with your answers (these checks look for words and can miss ingredients);
- to show your progress, your food diary and Batchy's reactions to how you eat.
We do not use this data for advertising or marketing, do not sell it, and do not use it to train AI.
Who sees and handles it
- Your family members in BatchDog see your health answers only if you agreed to show them, and your food restrictions only if you agreed to that part, so that family menus take them into account. Otherwise a family member building a menu sees "food restrictions unknown" and must either leave you out of the menu or confirm that they will check it themselves. Your weight, body data and food diary are visible only to you.
- Supabase stores it in our database in the EU and Cloudflare passes it between your device and the database, both on our instructions.
- Our AI model provider (named in Subprocessors) receives only the food restrictions that follow from your answers, for example "no peanuts", when you ask for an AI menu, and only if you agreed to health answers or to food restrictions. Without either, an AI menu is not built when you have allergies or restrictions (the app explains why and your AI menu allowance is not used); menus without AI still work. It does not receive your diagnoses, medications, weight or diary.

Your choice
Consent is voluntary. When you sign in, the app asks before any of this data is sent; nothing is ticked in advance. If you choose "Keep on this device only", BatchDog works the same on that device: it calculates your targets, keeps your diary and checks menus against your answers, but the data is not sent to our servers, is not shown to your family, is not used for AI menus and does not appear on your other devices. This choice deletes nothing: if your data already reached our server earlier (from an app version before consents), that copy is visible only to you and is deleted in the scheduled clean-up of data without consent. You can give consent later in Profile → Data & privacy. Your answer also works offline: the consent applies on the device at once and is recorded on the server at the next sync.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw at any time, as easily as you gave it: Profile → Data & privacy → Consents → Withdraw, or write to hello@relaxgames.studio. We then delete the data of that part of the consent from our live database and from your device (backups are overwritten within 30 days). Withdrawing the consent to health answers also stops showing them to your family. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful.
Data about a child
A parent or legal guardian can keep a food diary for a child under 18 who has no account. The diary is stored on our servers and shown to the adults in the family only with the parent's or guardian's consent, which they give in the child's card (Family → Edit). If the child is 14 or older (the age from which a child can consent in Spain; in other countries the age may differ), the parent also confirms that the child agrees. Any adult in the family can withdraw it; the diary is then deleted for the whole family. If the parent who gave the consent deletes their account, their consent stops applying: the diary is not deleted, and the app asks the remaining adult to give consent themselves. The consent ends, and the diary is deleted, when the child is removed or turns 18 by birth year.
No one can give this consent for another adult. For a family member without an account who is 18 or older, or whose birth year is not given, BatchDog stores only the name, calorie target, diet and foods to avoid; their diary stays on the device where it was entered.
Consent wording in the app
The app shows these texts with unticked checkboxes, a link to this page and a link to the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy:
[ ] I agree that BatchDog stores my health answers (allergies and intolerances, pregnancy or breastfeeding, conditions, medications) to leave out foods I need to avoid and to flag possible conflicts. The check looks for words and can miss an ingredient.
[ ] I agree that BatchDog stores my weight, height, age, sex, body measurements and food diary to calculate my targets and show my progress and my Batchy. My diary and weight log stay visible only to me.
[ ] I agree that BatchDog shares with the members of my BatchDog family and with the AI that builds menus only what I must not eat: allergens and restrictions (for example "no peanuts", "no fermented food"). No diagnoses, medications or weight.
Under the box: "Without this box, a family menu built by someone else won't know about your allergies, and an AI menu can't be built around them."
[ ] I agree that BatchDog shows my health answers to the members of my BatchDog family so that family menus can take them into account.
Buttons: "Agree to what I ticked" and "Keep on this device only".
For a child without an account (in the child's card):
[ ] I am this child's parent or legal guardian and the child is under 14, or the child is 14 or older and has agreed to this themselves. I agree that BatchDog stores the child's food diary so the family can see it and plan the child's menus.
Before the consent screen the app asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older. If you answer "I'm under 18", the app asks you to confirm; it then closes on that device, but you can still export the data on the device as a file, and fix a mistake with "I made a mistake", which asks your age again.
We record which part you agreed to or withdrew, the date and time, the version of this text and the language of the screen. If we change the meaning of this text, we will ask again.
